CoX Imperius TF with Gram

When I logged in this morning after some decent breakfast I very much felt like teaming. Sadly my global friends list was empty apart from one person (and I have about 90 entries on that list...). So I send a tell to Strife, who I have known nearly as long as I have been playing CoX. He started just a short time after me.

His main back then was a scrapper called Strife and I stIll remember gow he and Ashu played a lot together shortly before they both hit 50. Then he made a Warshade called Spirit of Strife and since then this has been his main. Actually I can't remember when I last saw him on his scrapper.

Anyway - some of the mates in my SG think he is arrogant (which sometimes he is) and quite annoying but I get along with him great. He is a great guy to run task forces with as he has a great sense of humor and doesn't mind being shouted at when he does something stupid. He is a bright guy with quite a bit of education and a great feeling for tactics. He absolutely can't stand not being in command. So I agree that he is not the best choice for teaming with the mates as they all agree I should be in command. Odd people that... But when I just wanna team and no mates are on and I don't wanna think too much it's great to follow his lead as I know that he is good at it.

So I asked him what he thought about starting a taskforce. He was all for it but Zukunft was kind of empty that early in the morning. So our first try to get a team going for the ITF (Imperius Task Force) was met with silence on the global chat channels.

Not a reason to give up hope. We just formed a team with me, Strife, Iron Inventor (the new defender of Ultra-Girl, another mate I have known for ages, she was with me with Ashu hit 50 waaaay back then) and a controller called Samy.

We did a few missions in Cimerora and then King Arni showed up who is a great scrapper. I still remember when he was a newbie... about 2 years ago? Damn, times flies.

By then the server had filled up and when we asked for people for TF again we got the three more we needed to start. Amother defender called Hoverbee and a stalker called Evil Cupra (who turned out to be absolutely awesome at being a stalker, not often that I see that much expertise!) Strife logged in his stonetank Gaara-Kun and we were off to save the past.

There was another one but he crashed on entering the first mission of the TF and didn't come back so we ran the whole thing with 7 people.

Basically the Task Force is about defeating time traveling agents of evil that are trying to change the past. And in the process of that you kill heaps and heaps and HEAPS of Romans:

As you battle your way through the missions you find out that they are building these:

to help their Roman pawn Romulus Augustus defeat the rightful ruler Imperius and thus change the course of history.

After defeating Romulus the first time he manages to eascape

and run back to his master. His mystery master. You don't get to see who's behind the whole plot. Anyway, that master bestows incredible power on him so we had to face him AGAIN, only in a much more powerful version where he actually rezzed himself 3 times and on top has an extremely annoying and powerful healing pet.

Here we are waiting for Strife to pull the stronger Romulus to us so we can kill him without interference:

We did however take him out with a minimum of trouble. Was just a team working together very well. I have been on ITFs where we had to quit because we just couldn't take Romulus out but here we beat him even with only 7.

And here's the reason for all the hard work and mean fights:

Romulus Sword.

It's a broadswrd so only scrappers can get it. You get it for defeating the pimped up Romulus.

Not as insanely cool as the Rularuu sword but quite cool.

Gram had done the ITF when it was first released to get the Roman armor but back then the sword was not available yet. So since then I have been looking for a chance to pick up that mightly blade.

I think it looks perfect on Gram. I'm not sure if I will keep it with this costume or give her the Rularuu sword once I get it and make a special costume for the Romulus blade. So many options.

Anyway - it was a great team and I had a great time.

And Gram is now level 43 and I have to get her some more new IOs AGAIN.
